Composición dedicada al recuerdo de Juan Marco Martín, primo hermano de mi madre, que murió asesinado y torturado en septiembre de 1936. Era republicano, sindicalista y militante comunista, y creo que aún no había cumplido los 20 años.

PARTE 3: EL FUNERAL QUE NUNCA SE CELEBRÓ.
Juan Marco no pudo levantar el puño cuando le asesinaron. Le habían cortado las manos. Tal vez tampoco tuvo fuerzas para gritar "¡Viva la República!" después de haber sido torturado. Ni siquiera se sabe exactamente dónde está enterrado.
He intentado aportar un mínimo de dignidad a su trágica desaparición componiendo la música del funeral que nunca se celebró, pero el resultado ha sido una melodía especialmente cruda y amarga.
